INVITATIONOctober 2009Sanctioned by the Wushu Administration Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and organized by Shanghai Sports Federation, the 10th Shanghai World Grand Wushu Festival will be held on July 10-15, 2010. Prior to this event, the World Expo Shanghai 2010 will be staged on May 1 and will last until October 31. The Organizing Committee of the Wushu Festival warmly welcomes the guests from around the world to come to Shanghai for the Festival and enjoy the World Expo as well. With the theme of "Better City, Better Life", the World Expo will show a charming city of Shanghai to the world. Taking advantage of the World Expo, the Organizing Committee will try its best to further popularize wushu in the world, spread the traditional culture of Chinese wushu and promote the exchanges of the world cultures.The biennial Shanghai World Grand Wushu Festival has been organized successfully for nine times since 1992. The Wushu Festival, which includes cultural exchange, competition and fitness, has become an influential event for world wushu exchanges and is deeply loved by the world’s people. Shanghai, the host city of Wushu Festival and the World Expo, is attracting world’s attention with its rapid progress.The Organizing Committee is hereby sending official invitations to the wushu associations and individuals around the world.
